- Two days workshop of Community Forestry Leaders (Sarpanch of Van Panachayat ) on 23-24 Sep, 2011 organised by CHEA provided space to discuss issues and develop strategic planning and networks. Dr. Pushkin Phartiyal, ED, CHEA says "The enthusiastic participation of community leaders resulted in formation of State Level Coordination Committee to take actions at grassroots and policy advocacy. CHEA is committed to strengthen Community Forestry/ Van Panchayats as the strategy for promoting green economy and institutional framework for poverty reduction and environmental governance".
